HRSG Transition Duct Upgrade – Field Executed Installation
During the 2026 spring outage season, PSIG completed two full HRSG transition duct upgrades at a 2,286MW gas fired power station.
Each unit included:
- Over 8,000 structural studs
- Approximately 70,000 lbs of 409 stainless steel
- 6,500 square feet of duct surface per unit
- Full on-site custom cutting using PSIG’s mobile CNC plasma systems
By fabricating and modifying components directly in the field, PSIG eliminated shipping delays, reduced schedule risk, and maintained dimensional accuracy during installation creating a custom, onsite solution for the customer.
The result:
- Controlled outage duration
- Seamless coordination with plant operations
- High-quality installation under compressed timelines
This project reflects PSIG’s core approach — scalable field execution, technical precision for a custom solution, and outage-driven performance.
